(PARADISE: IN SEARCH OF PEACE) Dal Lake, Srinagar, Kashmir (C) KCPR/ Nadeem Qadri

Views of Nadeem Qadri, Executive Director, KCPR.

I am always neutral. But the situation on ground zero, forced me to share my personal views, As a student of law, I have been trained and educated in a manner to remain within the four walls of legal jurisprudence.

Constitution is Supreme has been taught to me during my law students days, and I started trusting the words of wisdom from the Teachers and Jurists, Judges and Lawyers...But from last few days I am in State of Shock and had never ever expected this type of situation emerging all around.

I was some 60 Kms away in Bandipora town, discussing with my Team about the Conservation of Walur Lake, Mismanagement of Solid Waste and how we can develop Bandipora Green and Clean, while concluding my presentation, an unfortunate news came that 40 CRPF men in uniform in line of their duties have been killed in an Sucide Bomb Blast in Lethpora, Pulwama.

I was shocked as I fall in the the fine line of District Pulwama and Srinagar. I was not able to reconcile what will happen on my return to my home, situation was normal till I relaxed after reaching home. Things started uncovering in the noisy news rooms of mainland, started abusing and accusing people and YOUTH of Kashmir. I can understand the anger and pain of the nation, I was all about to condemn this incident in the strongest term as Humanity comes First, but had no access to Internet or Social Media...As we mourn our own people everyday in the sacred Valley of Kashmir. I was numb and feeling guilty of not being able to reach to my fellow kashmiri brethren across the country...

Then Situation started unfolding in ugliest manner, when my second home, Jammu was in flames under a design as Jammu is Winter Home for millions of Kashmiris, the economies of the Both Region is interdependent on each other in all the times, but some elements tried to cut the fibre of brotherhood and communal harmony between the People of Valley and Jammu. Some succeeded, some still try to lit the fire, this is not the debate about Nationalism, Ultra Nationalism or Anti Nationalism.

Nations are due to the strength of the people, the decisive politics and the treatment to innocent people and youth of Kashmir across the Nation has opened my eyes, and the harassment faced by the Girl Students across North, Central and South India was an eye opener for me. I never expected an honest trader away from his home thousands of Kilometres selling his Shawl or Kashmir Art was almost killed by the mob, with a National Flag raising high.

I don't want to talk about Pakistan as good Nation or Bad. Every Nation has to stand by the testing times, As Every KASHMIRI Citizens under the Section 6 of the Constitution of State of Jammu and Kashmir has the Fundamental Rights enshrined in the Constitution of India and under International Humanitarian Laws are entitled for Right to Life (Article 21) with DIGNITY AND HONOUR. We as the Citizens of State of Jammu and Kashmir deserve the Dignity and Honour, which is our Fundamental Right. What, I saw from last many weeks now, is that, we have to rethink and do self introspection.

I feel choked when I see the News Channels in Prime Time. I feel the level of misinformation injected and inflicted upon the People of India.

This is Gross Violation of basic principal of Ethical Journalism and spreading misinformation about the Law Abiding Citizens also amount to the Breach of Trust, which we have reposed as a State of J&K upon the People of Country.

Talking about the Criminal Silence about this whole situation by our so called local politicians is visible through through Twitter Accounts. Nation cannot be run from Twitter and Facebook or for the larger understanding from NEWS Studios.

As the dust of hate mongering is settling across the country, I would like to thank all those who came to the rescue of voiceless and hapless Citizens of State of Jammu and Kashmir in these difficult times, I salute all those unsung Heros from all Religions and Regions. We are indebted to all of them, and wish some more like minded organisations, institutions, civil societies must come forward for the Peaceful Resolution of Dispute of State of Jammu and Kashmir.

I am not a politician nor have any aspiration to enter into their shoes, I propose a "PEACE TREATY" to be signed in Srinagar, between INDIA and PAKISTAN witnessed by the People of all three Regions of State of Jammu and Kashmir.

May Allah Bless you all...Ameen...
