Born in a small village, Ferozpora, of North Kashmir's Baramulla district at a time when armed conflict erupted in Kashmir, Basharat Ali is Pursuing Bachelor's Degree from Government College Baramulla, University of Kashmir. From his childhood he had the urge and desire to contribute to his society by being a change.
He has earned a recognition of a Student Leader from his school days and has won numerous awards in School and College. In 2011 he was awarded Best Student of the Year by Government College Baramulla for his contribution in various fields.
Brought up in the trouble torn vale, Basharat Ali prefered not to pick up gun or leave his home. He turned to writing, public speaking and organising gatherings. Through these endeavours he involved youth in various activities and tried to mobilize their ideas.
Presently, Basharat Ali has dedicated himself selflessly to Youth Parliament of Jammu & Kashmir (YPJK) and Kashmir Centre for Peace and Reconciliation (KCPR). He is working as Secretary General of YPJK and Director KCPR.
He demonstrates his skills through motivation and dedication. He serves as a positive example and displays perseverence. He possess multitude of ideas and the audacity to realise them.
